Headphones for the iPad Pro 2018

As you know, the new generation of iPad Pro does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack or a lightening connector. Apple sells a USB C to 3.5mm converter. I got one of those, but can't seem to get it to work. Do I need to change any settings on the iPad to get it to recognize the headphones? The older iPad would recognize the headphones as soon as they were plugged in, and revert back to speakers when the headphones were removed.

Why not just get an inexpensive bluetooth adapter for your headphones.
APEKX Clip Bluetooth Audio Adapter for Headphones is the one I bought on Amazon... It is $16.99

Sounds like you're using wired headphones? I purchased the same adaptor and all worked fine, no issues, no change of settings required. If you're using Bluetooth, it should pair with your iPad almost as easy. If not, I'd give Apple support a call.

Turn the USB-C plug around. See if it works the other way. Some things can be obstinate.

My lady friend got me a set of Bluetooth earbuds to use with my iPad. Two problems - short battery life and audio delay. If listening to music videos, there is a very noticeable delay in the audio. Tried finding a solution for it online - no luck. I'm not impressed.

I use wireless Bluetooth Sony headphones with my iPad Pro, and they work great.

Are they earphones or ear buds, tj? I’d appreciate your providing the brand and model if they are earbuds.

That's the one I'm using. Got it from Best Buy for about $10.

They are Apple brand earphones that came with an older iPhone.

I use the same adapter with my wired apple headset. However, I do have an older headset that is in or from internal wires damaged. I also use my apple EarPods which is great but short battery life.
Call apple support they should help.

Not earbuds, they are also noise cancelling as with the noise cancelling on I can't hear the AC noise
