I had never been to Yellowstone this early in the season. It was beautiful, with the snow on the mountains and sometimes on the grass, and all the wildflowers blooming. I was there June 7-11
the perfect ending to a perfect day
perfect evening light
I noticed the setting sunlight on these trees, but there was no where to pull over, so I took this out the window as we drove by
wildflowers everywhere
I just love these rustic fences with the mountains
Mammoth Hot Springs
one day we had white out snow conditions for a while, made for some pretty scenes with the white on the green grass. You can see some elk in the distance here
doesn't look like June!
another beautiful morning
Excellent set...i loved it.

Lovely, I like the rainbow scene most.
Hey Katherine, looks like you had a fine time. Who'd you go with? A good friend of mine went around May 7. He thought that was a little early due to most trails being closed.
Ill be out of touch for a while. In Oslo, flying north to chase polar bears tomorrow.
Beautiful series, Katherine, especially the rainbow shot.
