Posting a pic within a reply

I have no problem posting pictures to the Photo Gallery. Done it many times. But...

How do I include a photo as part of a reply to someones else post? I know how to reply... but at a loss how to include a pic with that reply.

Thanks

Barry

Use the <Reply> or <Quote Reply> buttons to enable adding an attachment, not quick reply.

Barry, some images help a thread but others hijack a thread, just be careful to not hijack someone else's thread, worse thing you can do is see an image posted and then post similar images within because you want to share your similar work, let the OP enjoy his thread and if you want to show your pics start a new thread.

If you forget and use quick reply, or if you want to add a photo after you reply, you can use edit (within the allotted time period) and you will see the add attachment button.

My post was simply asking a technical question for which I received a couple of very quick simple answers which taught me how to do what I did wanted to know. Thank you for those replies. I have learned something.

And then there’s the reply that “lectured” me about hijacking other peoples posts by adding my picture to it… without having any idea whatsoever why I wanted to know this and how I might use it. We do see posts which encourage just that. Unfortunately here we have our share of angry people and impatient people who want to argue everything. Sorry for them!

Here is a hypothetical… Someone posts a question about camera straps that have quick release functions, I post a reply explaining my homemade solution and want to include a picture showing that solution. Hijacking??

And then the replies with no words just cartoons. To paraphrase… ‘Blessed is the person who having nothing to say… does not, in words (or cartoons), give evidence of the fact.’

Don't use quick reply. First quick reply does not give you options and second quick reply takes your reply out of context relative to the comment to which you are replying.

But if you have, when you go back to your reply and choose edit, you will be able to add a file.
