I really think that this image needs to be in black and white. A high contrast sky and nice control of the admittedly (and appropriate for a desert) harsh light in the image are the characteristics that won me over. My choice is no. 12

There have been so many excellent interpretations of this image that it makes it hard to pick. To me a couple of edits stood out, but I finally would up selecting
