Probably need that $10,000 to help payoff the pedophile/molestation lawsuits. Talk about a fall from grace.
Stay focused. It's apples and oranges.
The Vatican is one of the largest museums in the world. I would pay $500 to see the antechamber before entering the Sistine Chapel, let alone the Sistine chapel itself. If I was going though, I would bring a pair of binoculars to see detail and read 2 books. One is “The Pope’s Ceiling” written about a decade ago. The other is even better, “The Sistine Secrets” (4.6 rating on Amazon). It describes in detail what you are actually seeing and messages conveyed in the art by Michelangelo. It is controversial but fun. Both are good reads. Have fun. The Eternal City is magnificent.
