Navy Pier Chicago

I was in Chicago this week on business and had a chance to get out for a night of shooting. Here are some of the shots I took at the Navy Pier. I was hoping to do this Wednesday during the fireworks display but it was raining. All photos were taken with the Nikon D500 and a Sigma F3.5 10-200mm.

Nice shots. It makes me want to come back. I use to spend my weekends there while stationed at the naval base in the early 50s. None of those high rise buildings were there back than. Chicago was a great liberty town. We got free passes to the theaters, the ball games and even our meal bills were picked up. One weekend I went into town with 85 cents to my name and came back to the base with 15 cents. Chicago was great to us navy men.
