Sony has announced two FE super telephoto lenses, a 600 mm f/4 prime and a 200-600 mm f/5.6-6.3 zoom.
Hopefully the independents will follow suit.
These new lenses fill a big gap in available e-mount glass for both Sony's full frame and APS-C mirrorless bodies. Both lenses have in-body stabilization, and are supposedly compatible with Sony's 1.4 and 2.0 e-mount teleconverters.
There is no supposedly, the reviews on YuoTube clearly show both lenses being used with the SEL14TC and SEL20TC. As for the 3rd party companies, Sigma have their 150 - 600mm Contemporary and Sports lenses and Tamron has its 150 - 600mm G1 and G2 lenses. The lenses from both companies work (to a greater or lesser degree) with Canon to E mount adapters. Though both Sigma and Tamron make lenses specifically for Sony E mount, your guess us as good as mine as to whether they make their respective 150 - 600mm lenses in E mount. They may have missed the boat on this one: unless they make an announcement before August and at a much reduced cost.
