I spent a great day at Laguna Seca in Monterey California last month (every day there is a great one) at the Ferrari Racing Days. I was most interested in the Formula 1 cars. Number 234 is the car Michael Schumacher drove in the first 5 races of 2004. Number 240 is the car Rubens Barrichello drove to win the 2004 Chinese Grand Prix. The sports prototype is a 333 SP that debuted in 1994 and raced for several seasons. The others are track versions of the 488 and some earlier GT cars, as well as some FXX GT cars which were made only for the track; some with over 1,000 HP.
The formula 1 cars have a normally aspirated 3 liter V-10 that produces about 920 horsepower at 19,100 RPM. The sound is AMAZING.

Great sequence of images. Excellent composition and color. Nothing beats the sound of those Ferrari Race Cars

Thank you very much PixelStan 77, I'm glad you enjoyed them. You are right about the sound; I took a few short videos of the cars (including two in the paddock standing next to the F1 cars) primarily to capture the sound.
Great shots. Brings back a lot of memories. I was on the board of directors as an assistant director on the Race Operations Committee from 1998 to 2004. My desk was at the start finish line with the computers that ran the trilon & sent data from the SCCA computers to the leader tower. Lot of laps on the track since I moved.

I'm glad you enjoyed the photos nicksr1125. I went to my first sports car race there in October 1962, before I was old enough to drive. I worked on the timing crew from around 1965-1971. It's a special place.

Every image worth a wall hanging! Or a painting. Love 'em.
