Last day in London --

Pretty much everyone knows who built it & what went on at this interesting place.
So I'll skip all the history stuff.
If you take a close look (#8) you will see that even the Crows march in-step at the Tower.
1-9 = Tower.
Really felt that one good English Lion (#9) deserved yet another --
#10 was taken at Hampton Court the day prior.

We just got back from London and saw the tower while we were there. I am glad you took the photos as I did not take my camera that day.

Nah, they'll let you back in so they can pick your bones!
The Legend: “If the Tower of London ravens are lost or fly away, the Crown will fall and Britain with it.” ;-)

Wonderful set of awesome photos, Ken. Great color and sharp detail over large dof. Enjoyed looking at the construction detail in double download.

It's all about National Security ---
That's why they pen-up a bunch of these critters each night -- For all I know -- To keep them as "stay at homes" -- They may even clip their feathers --

OK, I've wanted to tell this story for years. Sometime in the 1990s I was visiting London. I had with me my vintage 1969 Asahi Spotmatic. I noticed a Beefeater standing guard outside the building containing the Crown Jewels. One of his shoes was untied. A definite once-in-a-lifetime shot! Except that the camera would not fire! I banged the camera against my opposite palm. I shook the camera. I tried again. And again. It never fired again. When I got back to the States I bought a new SLR. Canon. I used that SLR for several years, then went digital with a Rebel XTi, and now a 70D. But I'll never get a photo like the one I missed.
