I have the upgrade Photoshop DVD, with serial number, for the Mac. On eBay they start at $99 and go to unusual high number. I'm asking $79 firm. While I have the software on my computer, I'll uninstall it the moment I have a buyer. UHH is the only place I'm listing this.

I am interested, though I do not have a recent photoshop program for MAC. I think my last official program was CS or Cs2 which will not work with current operating systems. I would love to have either CS5 or 6 for my current I-mac computer. Funny, because I have an official CS6 pack for windows that I legally own, registered to my name with Adobe, but no longer have a PC. If there is any way you can help me here I would really appreciate it! Your asking price is no problem.

Olson, let's team together. Let's have both you and me, going to Adobe, and see what can be done with your legal copy of CS6 for windows (please take the lead), and I'll inquire about how far back can a person go, before CS5, and still use an upgrade.

Olson, I don't know that your plan is going to be granted by Adobe.

My thought is that anyone who had an iMac, with CS4 or similar on it, this would be a very economical way to upgrade to CS5. And as far as CS6, when I considered upgrading to CS6, I found that nearly all of the new features in CS6 were for those shooting video, which I do not do. So it would be CS5 for me, or PSCC, but why would I begin to rent Photoshop when my paid CS5 does everything I want, plus a lot more.

That is my sentiment exactly Elliot. I would be satisfied with either CS6 or CS5. Why pay the toll every month for basic services? I have elements, 15 and new one too. Just feel Elements cannot do as well as PS used to do for me. I loved the brushes and effects that full blown PS did so well.

A fellow teacher friend of mine worked for many years using Elements, and he upgraded too. But when he sat down next to my computer, and saw CS4 (this is a few years ago), he was blown away. So I understand what you are saying.

Please forgive me for asking, and I've received a number of private messages about my CS5, but I don't remember. Are you one who could use the CS5?

I need the full version of cs5. I am the guy who owns the full cs6 for windows but need cs 5 or cs6 for the mac. It would be great if someone needed my windows version and could trade a mac version to me.

I take it then you have a Mac, but no previous version of PS on it?

That is correct. My previous versions would not be compatable with current macs. My current macs will not load the old programs. So I need a stand alone mac version.

If CS6 is still available for sale, then it's probably there on the Adobe website to download a trial version for Mac. Just download the trial version, and when it's installed on your Mac, use your activation code from the CS6 pack you own. Make sure you have the long activation code before you go through all this trouble. If you do, I'm sure it will work.

Adobe stopped offering CS6 photoshop a couple years after they started the leasing scheme. But maybe if I can find a mac copy on ebay I can try to use my legal activation code? Might be worth a try? Thanks for the idea jeepD.

You may want to check carefully before trying to go the old CS5 route. Adobe really does not want anyone to use these old versions. I have had and still use CS5 since it first came out. I found out the hard way that Apple's last operating system to fully support CS5 was ElCapitan.

I did a test by up-grading my very old MacBook to Sierra and it seemed to work CS5 OK, but I failed to check to see if everything worked. Then I upgraded my 27" iMac to Sierra thinking that would be OK. Every time I went to print something on any of my three printers CS5 would crash. There probably are workarounds by printing a PS readied photo from other programs like Preview, but I did not want the hassle.

Apple makes it very difficult to go back in operating systems, but I was determined to go back to ElCapitan again. I cleaned off my hard drive and reloaded everything back from my time machine backup. Shortly after, I found the OS began to crash occasionally. The more I continued to use it the more frequently it crashed until it would no longer launch at all. I packed it up and took it to the Apple store and had them re-load ElCapitan back. All is well for now again except Apple is dropping all support for El cap, so I plan to upgrade to OS Mojave in the near future and go the subscription route with Adobe. It just isn't worth all the hassle for me and I can afford $10.00 per month.

At this point in time you can not get an/any upgrades for CS5 anymore, also its support for ACR stopped at 6.7!
