Does anybody know if the Nissin di700a flash is compatible with the Nikon Z6? I can't seem to get an answer or response from Nissin. My suspicion is that it is compatible with the Z6 using iTTL or manual but not with the more advanced Nikon CLS flash configuration. Any insights would be appreciated.

Just checked and the Z6 and Z7 could not be found on the Nissin compatibility chart here.
Any reason you chose to go with Nissin and not Godox/Flashpoint? Godox has a variety of different size strobes, all of which support cross-brand TTL functionality, and the Godox flashes work perfectly fine on Z6.

I've been reading about that flash online. The Nikon version of that flash is compatible with Nikon i-TTL. That would be any Nikon camera except possibly some older 35mm cameras. It would be compatible with Z6/Z7. I'm not sure about optical triggering when the flash is off camera though. I don't think the flash has the photoelectric eye for off-camera triggering. The flash does have its 2.4GHz radio triggering.

Thanks PixelStan. I already had the Nissin flash when I picked up the Nikon Z6.

Thanks. I was using the Nissin on my D750 so I assumed there would not be a problem with the Z6.

Thanks ronz. I used to have the di866 which I traded for the di700a.
