My understanding is that the sugar water in those feeders allows for the rapid breeding of bacteria which are poisonous to the birds - I hope you clean that multiple times a week (if not daily) or else as good as you feel for feeding them you might in fact be responsible for them dying (of course, that won't be in your back yard so you might never know)
