I hate the course but continue to play it because I like the challenge even though I do poorly there. It is all hills and seldom does a ball rest in a perfectly flat spot. The offset is that the scenery is second to none and on Golfnow I get some good prices to play there. The course is very well maintained, just a tough place to play.
Thanks! Here is one more of me taken by my friend...the 8th hole of the Cholla Course (there are two courses, each great buy Cholla in a class of it's own). This was perhaps one of the best shots of my life time, the only time i reached this par 5 in 3 (550 treacherous yards). If you look way high in the sky you can actually see the tiny ball on its way to the green.
Second shot was taken after a thunderstorm rolled through late in afternoon. You will never mistake this for Pennsylvania! (I lived in Philly for 5 years in 1969-74 before golf)
