Tamron 28-300

I up graded from a D7100 with a sigma 18-200 to a D610 with a Tamron 28-300.I always got fast focus and very sharp photos. My issue is the Tamron seems slower to focus than the Sigma. I would move to take a shot of a person only to find out that is is a touch out of focus. I never had the issue with the Sigma but Sigma doesn’t make a full frame in the 18-200 or 28-300 range .
Thanks in advance
Bob

Yes, unfortunately, although there is one here for $439 or best offer.

I bought the Tamron 28-300 for my Canon cameras, and it, too, seems to have a focus problem. I sent it to Tamron for repair. They kept it a month and returned it "fixed." It was a little better. Try doing micro adjustments in-camera. Unfortunately, mine was OOF badly enough that didn't work. The weird thing is, sometimes it's perfect! But it's always slow.

IF you're stuck with a lens that seems to front or back focus - - I recommend Reikan FoCal Pro
Brain-dead easy lens calibration software.
It automatically updates your cameras near and distant micro-adjustments for any # of lenses.
And (I think) for up to 5 camera bodies (yeah - with your complete stable of lenses on each of those bodies).
I downloaded it, and after payment information was received, it was registered and fully functional.
I printed the focus target on my inkjet - Max quality on photo paper - and it worked without a problem.
