I had a chance to go to the D-Day 75th Anniversary press conference and was able to fly in one of these C-47's. Four of them were D-Day veterans. A great experience that I will never forget.
I just wanted to pay tribute to the great men and women who served this great country and thank them and their famalies for their sacrafice.

Nice set Bernie. My Dad was an Army Air Corps B-24, B-25 and B-29 mechanic during the war stationed in Sioux Falls, SD (where I was born in 1944) and Hickham Field, Honolulu. I wish I had more photos of him.
