This sago palm has been growing in our neighborhood for several years. Recently I noticed that it had put out a spurt of new spring growth, so I soon returned with camera in hand. In addition to the overall appearance of the new growth, closer examination revealed some amazing patterns and shapes. Images #1 thru #4 were taken with Canon 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens. Images 5 and 6 were taken with the Canon 100mm f/2.8L macro IS. Comments welcome and I hope you enjoy.

Amazing details! Images #1 and especially #2 give a great context for the subsequent deep dive into the details.
