Aww...they're just beautiful, Merry! I know you're enjoying your adorable bluebird family! I've heard them singing in our back yard, but so far the bird houses still have vacancy signs posted!

Last year we had three bluebird nestings and 13 little ones banded. We now have our first batch with 5 little ones to be banded this Wednesday. We have to cover our kitchen window with waxed paper to keep the male from trying to attack his "competitor." It's fun to watch these lovely creatures.

thank you for commenting, rvharvey. it sounds like you are in bluebird heaven.
it is fun to watch them, and there's not a more beautiful shade of blue.

lol...thanks for the laugh, gardineer...I couldn't believe how long that worm was the
mama had. those are some well fed babies...mama looks wet, so I thing she must have
had a bath in between feedings.

A perfect set for Mother’s Day, MT. Nicely done.

thank you very much, john! I was happy to get the shots, but wouldn't it have been
nice to see the babies poking their heads out of the house? I sure do hope I don't miss
them leaving the nest. I hope you enjoyed mothers' day with your family.

Lucky you, Merry. I hope to have some babies next year. I have bird houses to put up but just didn't get the out in time for this year.

I am glad the bluebirds got the house instead of the chickadees that were checking it out too, carol.
all I have to do is step out of the garage, and look down and I have a great view of it. thank you for your comment, and I hope you get lots of babies next year!
