Not sure what I did but when I open the spot removal tool the dust spot remover part is gone and the soft proof is also gone. Any help would be appreciated. Ron

Ronsh - Perhaps a reference tool like this might be helpful.

“Need a little with Lightroom”? Did you mean “knead a little with Lightroom” ? A new use for an old word that could go viral and you heard it here first!

Which LR version are you using? I am sorry but I do not know what you mean by “dust spot remover part” and “soft proofing tool” are gone. To my recollection the Lightroom spot remover has always looked like this:

Ralph, thanks for posting this. I did a download of the PDF and put it right on my desktop. These shortcuts will definitely come in handy.

Have no idea what you're done with the spotting tool as that panel cannot be changed, at least I thought that was the case. As for soft proofing, it, and other tools can be changed here, at the bottom of the viewing screen:

The small arrow at the right end of that strip of tools. Click on it and anything marked with a check will show up in the strip. You can choose what you want to be in the strip. I've put an arrow on the place to click on. Have you ever used the Help manual found online? It can be, well, very helpful. It will give you the basics in operating the program. Check out the Library Module online help manual. If you look at the top of the program you'll see a Help menu option.

Well I found the arrow and the drop down, but soft proofing is not there. Think it’s time to call!

When you said the "spot tool was gone" did you mean the tool itself in the tool bar or just the tool that goes over the image? To bring back the tool over the image hit the "h" key. It's a toggle switch that allows you to look at the image without the tool overlay. Also, check the "tool overlay" button at the bottom, same panel I showed you in the image before. That box lets you set if you or don't see the tool overlay.
