I moved to this North of England quiet fishing village just four years ago. There was a harbour, beaches, one high street with shops, terraced houses many years old and open fields. Small traces of the coal mine and railway long since gone.
Now the character is changing. I have never liked the faux warehouse apartment blocks, they look so out of place.
This shot was taken on my oldest camera, a 6mp D70s DSLR. The lens is a Nikkor 35-80mm also of ancient origin. There are a few flaws, but for a camera and lens almost fifteen years old, I don't think it is all that bad.
Interesting. Thanks for taking us there.
Thanks for the tour and narrative.
