Does anyone have experience with Canon CarePAK PLUS warranty? Canon sent me an email selling the service.

Has anyone ever filed a claim for damage to equipment (camera and/or lens)? What was the result?

It certainly seems cheap enough for the coverage it provides, assuming your camera is new enough to get the benefit of the time period provided, or at least a sizable portion of it anyway.
To me, a lot would depend on how you use your camera. I have never had a repair issue so I don't know if it is anything I am interested in, but, since my newest camera is only a few months old I might consider it considering the low cost.
As far as Canon's customer service, I've only ever sent a camera to them once and that was for a routine cleaning and check up of a 7DII. I dropped it off in the morning at Canon's facility in NJ and UPS brought it back to me the next day. Can't beat that.

When I bought my new camera, I was offered the carepak but when I started reading it looks like you have to have your camera checked periodically

I got it with my new 24-105L a few years back, took said lens on a biking trip and kept the cap on it 99 percent of the time, that 1 percent that I didn’t I ended up with a small rock chip to the outer lens. Getting them to honor the repair was a nightmare and took weeks of fighting, they kept quoting $450 or something crazy. I sent my cert and receipts to the repair center several times to several people but none ever would help or even say they got the info.

I started an email campaign and I think a few on here may of even helped. I found and emailed a bunch of Canon board members along with the US division President and VP. and included all the info along with proof. I magically got a call from the center the next day saying how sorry they were and they had never encountered a repair under the program and that it was so new no one knew what to do. The repair that was going to take days was magically done that day and the lens was overnight shipped to me. It was a major pain but worked out for me since that care pkg was free with the lens/camera purchase at the time of purchase.
