Shot in April. Missed the big bloom though by a few days but still some great photo ops. Great stars at night but my night photography is a disaster.

I keep missing the height of the Super Blooms too. I was in Anza-Borrego twice two years ago and once this year. I got some pretty nice images but not nearly the amount of wildflowers I've seen in some other peoples images. Same with Walker Canyon. By the time we visited it was more Wild Mustard and Lupines than California Poppies!
I was lucky. Got to Figueroa Mountain, Walker Canyon, Joshua Tree, and the best one, Antelope Valley. I hit that just right. Its hard to time it. I was just pretty lucky. Depending on the altitude and heat, the lower places like Anza bloom first then the higher places like Joshua Tree, next. Talking to one of the locals in Borrego Springs, he said to look at the rain forecast in November. If there's rain, then there's going to be a bloom in March.
Very nice assortment of well captured shots.
I like them all. Nice work!
Thaks. Its really amazing.
Great pictures. Actually at the height of color the Ocotillo were not in bloom. Also, the cacti always come later. What is great about Borrego is the variance in altitude which allows color for a longer period of time. It is interesting all year long.
Nice Place to see....like the dinosaur.
Really. there are LOTS of those sculptures around.
I love the set. Thanks for sharing.
