I have an old Nikonus V underwater film camera,,, were you snorkeling or scuba and what camera did you use underwater and how close were you to that creature !!! Great Photos !!!

I was scuba diving. I have an old Lumix DMC-TS4 which I just love but which Panasonic doesn't make anymore. Good to 30'. I have a housing for it though (good to 120'). I'd say I probably shot that in about 10' of water (the lights was pretty good as you can see). Its not the best camera for underwater and I need better lights. I've upgraded to a Hero7 with 4K video and will shoot video the whole time now. Taking stills underwater is tough.
How close? I'd say maybe 3' away. The creatures in the Galapagos don't seem to care about humans and just go about their business. Likely due to it being pretty remote and it being a nature preserve where hunting/fishing is illegal.
