I photographed this small, pretty and fast-moving bird today At Fernan Lake, north Idaho.
Hand held shot at 600mm. Distance was about 75-100 feet.
Canon 5Dsr - Canon 300 2.8 II - Canon 2x III - 1/1000 - f/8 - ISO @ 1000.

Really beautiful shot of a beautiful iridescent swallow. Swallows don't tend to sit around long. Looks like you were either quick enough for this swallow or it was resting from all its aerobatics from catching bugs.
