I have a Leica M8 camera with original 2.004 firmware. When I try to download the later firmware to my computer Script Editor says it can't read the script. Tried several times, same result. Any suggestions?

I had no problem downloading the file - I didn't need to unzip it either - it downloaded as .upd file. If I tried to open the file by clicking on it, I was asked for a program to open it with. I don't think you need to open it on the computer, just save it to the card as the instructions state.

Disclaimer - No, I do not own a Leica M8 - sure wish I did though! Take this for what it's worth.
