Greetings! I have a Fuji X-E2S with the kit 18-55mm 2.8 lens and a 23mm 2.0 lens. I'll be heading out west to a National Park this summer as well as exploring the state of Oregon. Planning, therefore, to rent a lens that will serve me well for the trip. Fuji has a limited number of options to get the reach I'd need for bringing nature and some wild life into view. Would appreciate suggestions from the experts! Thanks. Ron M.
What is wrong with the XF 100-400mm f4.5-f5.6 R LR OIS WR? It will get you out to a 35mm equivalent of 600mm and you maintain AF? Sure, it’s big and heavy but if reach is what you’re looking for just about anything equivalent will be big and heavy.

You might find that the wildlife in western National Parks can be quite tame (and close), so don't leave that 18-55mm at home. It may be your most usable travel lens.
The 100-400mm Fuji is an excellent lens but very large and heavy for the XE-2. In general, it's not really a travel lens. I'd recommend the 55-200mm which is much smaller and lighter. Fuji's crop sensor will give you the equivalent of a 300mm lens, enough for landscape details and many wildlife situations. While I own both, I find the 55-200 is my go-to travel lens along with the 18-55 and 10-24.

For a walk around lens on your trip get the 18-135mm lens. I always use it with my XPro2.
XC 50-230 is much lighter. Buy one, they're cheap too.
