In our community of Pacific Beach in San Diego, CA the main business street is Garnet Ave. The first photo (credit: Google Maps) shows a mural painted on the side of a building just south of Garnet on Cass St. depicting a photo taken in the mid to late 1940s shot from the intersection of Garnet and Cass looking west to Crystal Pier that extends out over the ocean. The second photo I took of Ms. chase and our dog, Fern, standing in front of that mural just for fun and a little time travel and converted to B&W. chase

That’s very clever indeed!
Aside from the lack of shadow from the new subjects, it looks very good. Well done.
Very nice. Those are paintings?

Thank you all for stopping by and your nice comments and thumbs-up.
To answer jerryc41: Yes this is a painting depicting an old photo on a cement block wall.
PhotogHobbyist: I can't explain the lack of shadows, perhaps my wife and dog are zombies or
it was the result of the ambient natural lighting. Here is the original color photo.
