This flying enigma has been taunting and avoiding me for weeks. Today he/she landed just outside my dirty window, and as my luck would have it the sun was behind and slightly above her (he would have given me an even chance). I grabbed my camera and snapped off a couple of quick ones through the dirty window (it rained last night). Nervous, flighty birds seem to have excellent vision so I tried to sneak across the room
on my hands and knees (yes picture a beached whale flopping around in the sand) and open the window, to no avail. I suppose when she stopped laughing she flew away, all I know for sure is that when I peered out the open window empty space stared back.
maybe a "leucistic Eurasian Collared-Dove" or it could be some sort of a Dove pigeon hybrid

Could also be a cross between a domestic and Ring necked dove.
