Thank you. Let’s hope all the whining is done in private.

Worst week of the year for me. It's finally gotten to the point where I'm getting up in near-daylight, and it will be back to rising in the pre-dawn again on Monday. I find that daylight ending when I'm a few minutes from home instead of a few minutes after I leave the office does not really benefit me very much. I can't "save" it till I get home!

I've always liked it, always will. Now it's even better because the Bumpusses probably won't let their dogs out until later. In the meantime Vern the Dog will still get me up at oh dark thirty and we'll have more quality time. Ben Franklin was a genius.
Note lack of whine or rant.

Sorry Andy. It's been the standard since 1916. Certainly, sufficient time to adapt.

Nope. The change comes several weeks earlier than it used to. It was the first Sunday in April until 2006, when Congress moved it up by three to four weeks (and kept it in effect for an additional week in the fall as well). The difference between second Sunday in March and first Sunday in April is just the difference between getting up in the dark or in near daylight for me.
I'm allowed to grumble about Washington politicians aren't I?

How 'bout this: Let's change the time weekly or monthly so that the sun sets about 9:00 PM every night, regardless of when the sun rises.
They changed the rules a number of years back so that it's now difficult to figure out when the change take place unless you search the web. However, most of our clocks now make the adjustment by themselves so we don't have to worry about it.
I loved having the extra daylight after work during the week.
I didn't always have to wait for weekends to do stuff.

Given the number of replies, already, my post has lost it's purpose or meaning.
Have fun everyone!!

Works for me ! Maybe I can do
that by Executive Order or even
a State of Emergency.
I could run for POTUS now that
any wayward totally unqualified
biped has a crack at it !
I'm no expert on foreign affairs,
health care etc. I just wanna get
elected, fix the time thing, play
golf [first time!], and then leave
office and collect a fat pension.
Sounds like a plan :-)
