Hello Fellow Hoggers,
Needing some constructive help please. Just purchased a Nikon 14-24mm AFS wide angle and am looking for help in choosing a filter system for it. I know Fotodiox makes the Wonderpana one, but would like your input and recommendations on this system or a better one. Also, if anyone has one for sale, I might be interested! Thanks, as always for all the help and advice.

Either Nikon, B+W, or Singh-Ray filters are all that I ever use. No sense in spending the money for an expensive lens and putting a cheap filter on it. There are some really cheap filters out there too with common names.
You may wish to try high quality Breakthrough filters.

I use the Benro mount, and VU brand 150x150mm filters. Also the VU 150x170mm graduated ND filters. They are multi-coated Schott glass filters made in Germany and fantastic quality at a very fair price.
Its clear that some people have no idea what kind of filters and mount this lens (and the others like it) requires.

Everybody else is missing the point. The front aperture of the 14-24 has a non removable petal lens hood and can only take a specialized slip on filter system like the Wonderpana. But, the 14-24 is such a magnificent lens, that I'd be worried about vignetting from anything in front of the lens.

From 17 mm & up your ok. 14-16 'mm you get the vignetting.
Lee, NiSi, Format High-tech, Wine County Camera are a couple that make the kits for that lens.
I think Benro might of just came out with 1 also. I have purchased the Wine Country Camera holder for the Nikon 14-24 lens with the circular polarizer, 3,6,10 stop nds &, the 2 stop hard & soft gnds. I have taken a couple of pics with them but, haven't the chance to really test them out for color cast & such.
Good luck & have fun, Tom
Fantastic lens for landscape and night sky! I use the Nisi system and like it. Often people sell their entire filter system for these types of lens. Look on Fred and Miranda. Good luck!
