Kool Keni !!! Love the image and I'm not much of a flower fan anymore. This one does stick my attention. Love your title and the song as well. Altho, my first thought was "Purple Rain". Nicely composed & captured.

Some song facts: https://www.songfacts.com/facts/iron-butterfly/in-a-gadda-da-vida

There were too many to list so I just posted a link for you to view if you so desire.

I'm glad you like it Dave because it's not really flowers. They were all green plants that I "colored ". Purple rain would have worked as well but I liked the association with Iron Butterfly. Thanks for posting the link. It is a fascinating story.

Oh Wow !!! Even more so kool. Very well done, I would not have known if you hadn't mentioned what was done. I can understand the association with 'Iron Butterfly' and "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" fits so much better. I just mentioned "Purple Rain" because of the color and that was the first thing I that came to mind.

Keni, when I looked at it, the first thing that came to my mind is wow a lot of purple. After your explanation I understood why. I like the composition, I also like the coloring idea. What I would do is take the purple out of those areas that are not flowers. Such as the rocks. But that is me, and this of course is your image.

I like it. Nice job! Thanks for sharing.

In the Garden of Eaden. In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, was the first full drum solo I learned/copied when I was a young rock star wannabe, it was a fun solo and people loved those long solo's at the time, I sang it too - my vocals were never my strong point!!!! Many fond memories.

Did you over-sharpen and over-saturate for a creative reason? Can you say more about why you post-processed that way?

Thank you Frank. I hesitated about coloring the rocks but they are sandstone and the lighter color didn't work for me with the rest of the image. I appreciate your comments.

They still hold the record for the longest recorded solo! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

My original inspiration was the song. The story goes that the writer was so drunk he was slurring his words which is why it's called In a Godda Da Vida instead of In The Garden Of Eden. I suspect that given the time it was probably more than just alcohol. I wanted the garden to look psychedelic and not quite real. Having never done psychedelic drugs this is how I imagined it would look. I did crank up the clarity and sharpening to give an edge to details.

Keni, I really like the color pallet you have for this image. I also would have thought you started with a flowering garden here. Good work.

Oh, and for the record I did see Iron Butterfly live once. They were really good live.

More "surreal" than psychedelic, they would need to bobbing and weaving, pulsating, moving and grrovin!!!
