Playing with light using some off camera flash (2 off camera one on) nothing sophisticated, just set 2 units as slave using small on camera flash at min power to trip them. one set low on table at about 32.4441 degrees :) at 1/128 power. The other hand held at about 11 o'clock at 1/32 power. On camera was the little mini flash that comes with the OMD EM5 mark ii. set up at about a 60 degree angle with a small home made bounce card in place. newer nv320's angled at the subject with diffusion cap in place.
I posted a couple pictures a couple weeks ago of the Lavender Orchids (2nd bloom) Now the green Orchid has started popping some new blooms (4th time) so was anxious to get pictures. Never thought I would be keeping pet Orchids :) guess it's and age thing. I am kinda enjoying them. Hope some of you enjoy my offering. NOW INTRODUCING MY NEW BLOOMERS>

well thought I would add a shot. same shoot only ambient light no flash.

I like both versions, Frankie. Which one I would choose would depend on my mood at the time.

Earl.

Excellent shots. I'm envious that you get your orchids to bloom. Haven't had much luck yet, still trying.

You know orchids, Frankie, from growing beautiful, healthy ones to showing them in all their glory by your portraits. Both versions of your bloomers are beautiful, but I love the fresh colors displayed by the use of flash.

thanks... I was real happy when the purple ones started a new bloom (you know dat). The green ones started there 4th bloom. I cut off the original bloomin stem off reluctantly. Then it growed new stems. Now its bloomin again. who'da thunk it. thanks for lookin. You just have a way to make my day :)
