This year in Arizona has been nothing short of amazing. We've had great winter rains and lots of snow in the higher elevations resulting in some unusual photo ops, green deserts and snowy vistas. The white stallion is blind in one eye but that doesn't stop him from being a band stallion. He's one of my favorites so I was especially happy to catch him cavorting with his colt. Light was failing but I couldn't help but shoot them anyway.
As always, as a relatively new photographer, I sincerely appreciate your comments and suggestions.

They're all wonderful, Sally, but the "failing light" in the last shot is what gives it so much impact!

Sally, very nice photos. I was there in January and really appreciate your help in finding these wild horses.
It was a wonderful experience! Thanks.

I have to agree with Linda. Very nice series, but the last one is a real keeper.

These were taken near the Salt River in Tonto National Forest.

Some more beautiful Salt River wild horse photos. Looks like the half blind stallion is keeping busy, that beautiful pregnant mare in #4 looks like she's going to give birth any minute.
