I have had a fun month taking pictures of my soon-to-be two year old grand daughter and a newborn.

I appreciate your comments and critiques. Enjoy!

Adorable! Where did you find the little hat on the baby? Like all 4. :)

:) Thanks

Ebay is my friend. I just had four more hats delivered today. Much faster, less expensive, and easier than making them myself.

:) Thank you! My mom and dad like the high key portrait the best too. It helps to have attractive models.

Julie,

These are wonderful. The first three are about as good as it gets. The only thing about the fourth one is the round sparkle hair clip. To me eye, it just doesn't go and detracts from the wonderful child.

Here is a tip for shooting the baby, as they tend to be difficult when they are this young. Use available soft window light, no flash. Place the baby near the window and watch for that perfect light. . .be ready to shoot fast, with your exposure set, then take a light solid colored baby blanket and drape it over the top of baby's head. The baby's natural instinct will be to push up against the baby blanket with its head, and you will get the world's best baby head shot.

OUT...STANDING! To make #2 absolutely perfect, clone out that little red thingy in the upper left.
Bring that to the next PPC print critique! Not sure when we will have it, but when we do bring the first three.
#3 could benefit from just a bit more snap. It is great now, but it can be even better.
