The beacon to the left of the angler is a warning to shipping of submerged rocks at high tide. During springs the water level rises to about 3/4 the length of the pole. In this picture the tide is coming in and the fisherman appears oblivious to the danger.
Photo taken several years ago at night in November. It actually is in full glorious colour although I don't recall the sky being as yellow as the image suggests.
This image was shot on a Fuji f30 (6 mp) but the image size in LR was less than 2 inches wide. I increased size in Photoshop, but the downloaded view clearly shows signs of the enlargement.
