I've been trying to get the desktop version of this to work without success. I'm unable to get any results when I input a location. "No results found" is what comes up. I've accessed the newest version online with the same results. I'm running Windows 10 (latest version.) Anyone have a suggestion? I've been unable to find an answer online.

Has to be Win 10 or your browser.
I just used it on a Win 7 box with Firefox.
Try a different browser or computer to see what they do.
Or you lost an internet connection somewhere along the line.

I didn't know you could have it local to your machine, I thought it was an on-line app.
I thought windshoppe's statement was to differentiate from the phone app.

That was one of my thoughts also. Tried 3 different browsers with same result.

Have your settings prevented the sharing of your location?

I've no problems, ask windshoppe.
If you type in a specific location, it would not necessitate sharing location.

That might answer my next question about cookie storage being disallowed by the browser.
Hopefully someone with Win 10 will chime in...

I have only used the on line app with my browser (Firefox) and have no problem with that. W10 V1809. I just quickly plugged in two locations with no trouble

There is no actual desktop version. They used to have that. Now it is web-based only.

Have Win 10 - have a working TPE. Online only as someone else pointed out. They stopped supporting the desktop version years ago :(. There is also a smart phone app version. See if that works?

Google Chrome browser BTW...

I try, I did not find my town. So I select NYC, it found it, then I zoom out and moved the pointer to my location. Zoom back in to improve location position.

What's the location?
The map program doesn't know EVERY minute location.
Could be as simple as that.

Larry, I put in Beacon,NY and it found it right away. It can be touchy about things like letter spacing.
