Lightroom- all photos grayed and marked as reject. 😳😳😳
After several days of my pc laptop being turned off, I started it up and went to LR to check a photo that was in my main catalogue. There are 66000 photos there and they are all grayed out and marked for reject. Obviously, I didn’t intend to do this and want to undo it ASAP! I have tried to select multiple pictures to undo it with no luck. Suggestions, and please be specific because I’m not very lingo-savvy! Thanks in advance.
control z (undo last action) on a pc?
A rejected image has an 'x' in a black flag in the upper left corner of the image in the grid view of the Library module. This is your situation?
When you select any of these images and press the 'u' key to "unflag", you're saying the reject status / flag is not removed?
Your LR catalog appears to be aware of the images but perhaps cannot locate them. You did not specify your operating system but did you move or rename your image file volume/folder several days ago outside of LR e.g. by using the Windows File Manager or the MacOS Finder? If so, in the Navigator (left) panel of the LR Library window, locate the image volume/folder.
Good news! I closed LR and re-opened. Was able to select and hit U. All good! Thanks so much!
Sometimes the Auto AI engages and makes its own evaluation of the content of the images. I hope this doesn't include all of your images....
