Hi Everyone,
My fiancee Elizabeth (fellow member LWOPP) and I are getting married by a magistrate in Wilmington, NC on Thursday, October 11, 2012. We will be going to the Outer Banks for a brief honeymoon (October 12-15). We are not having a formal church wedding, attendants, catered parties or a reception. We had made an agreement with a photographer friend whose day job is, unfortunately, going to require him to be elsewhere that weekend.
We are hoping to find a UHH member on the Outer Banks who can take some informal wedding portraits of us, or refer us to someone who can. We are definitely not asking for a freebie. We will gladly pay a sitting fee and the cost of preparing a CD. We simply would like some nice shots of us in our wedding attire taken either in Ocracoke, where we are staying, or anywhere else on the Banks for that matter, as the traveling distances are not that great. We will come to you.
All the professional photography studios that we have researched offer the complete, huge packages for fees that range from $600 to $1200 that include a DVD with narrative and music which chronicles an entire weekend, from the rehearsal dinner to the family shots including all of the wedding party, which sometimes includes up to 2 dozen people! Very nice, but it just isn't our style and it is certainly out of our price range. That is why we decided on simple but nicely done shots of us, without all the bells and whistles.
If anyone is interested in helping us out or can make suggestions of someone who is willing to capture our Outer Banks moments, we would be eternally grateful and appreciative.

Congratulations on your marriage plans. The Outer Banks is one of my favorite places ( I'm from Maryland) and I would enjoy visitng there again to be your guy behind the lens. Unfortunately, I'm living in Dubai right now, so I can't help you. I'm sure another one of us will be more than happy to spend some time in your wonderful neck of the woods. Best of luck to you both!

Can't help you out, but had to tell you.......great choice of wedding day. It is also our anniversary. 43 years this year. :>) And as Mr. Spock would say "Live long and prosper".

I suggest you post this with a more specific title. (msybe even a different category.) If someone isn't looking to buy something they aren't going to see this special request. Sounds very romantic. Good luck!
