I have only been through St Louis a couple times in my life but I will find myself there this weekend. I'm turning to the great folks here on some suggestions on what to shoot. I know most non-photographers will say the Arch. This will definitively be on the list but I'll probably shoot it at night just to be different. Are there any historic area where I might be able to capture architecture.
Thanks in advance and I'll be sure to post some pics when I return.

the guy who stole my first car was from St Louis, if you see him take few shots at him for me
Across the river at Alton, Illinois there are a number of things. The Lewis & Clark museum and Melvin Price Lock and dam is south of town a couple of miles. Just north of the old grain elevator with it's tall concrete grain bins is the Piasa Bird. In north Alton is the life size statue of Robert Wadlow, the world's tallest man, not too far from the Conferdate cemetary where conferdate POWs that died were buried. Across the river on the Missouri side is Confluence Park where the Mississippi and Missouri rivers meet. The zoo in St Louis is free and a good visit. Just east of East St Louis IL is Cahokia Mounds. On the south side of St Louis is Mammoth State park with mastadon remains. I won't go into detail, but will let you google it.

Take shots of St. Louis-style pizza. Actually, it's not very photogenic, but it is very tasty! :-)
Looks photogenic to me!
And tasty.....

Point him to Two Nice Guys Pizza, I have not been there in years, but it was great.
Also more needs to be said about staying out of East St Louis.
A visit to the Budweiser Brewery and the Clysdales stables.
