As I pull the arrows and darts out of my BHPhoto UPS box, I want to thank all who responded to my original post. To those who could not see the light, I thank you for driving the ISO up to 6400 to show me the grain in my picture. To those who could open their apertures, I thank you for raising your flashes so high, you blew away that grain and drove the ISO down to 25. To the English teachers, you had me terrified so I ran to the window ... but no, the world had not stopped, it just kept rolling on. To you, I say, "Me sorry, My bad! Yeh, and one we can all bring our OWN cameras on. (Three original teeth showing grin!)

Whichever one you bought you are going to need a really big lens to get the great shots! Cheers. ;)

The camera the OP bought isn't all that big nor its lens but it supposedly has the equivalent of a camera with very big lens.

Yeah, but the bad news is we pay the people in DC about 200k per year plus enormous benefits (medical, pension) to do everything BUT what they are supposed to do. Instead they engage in ridiculous media events.

I think we spent more than 200k in the first week for AOC's wardrobe.

Good post, so how's that 3000mm fl? Hand hold able? What was it, 5 stops VR?

Since it was my fist time with the camera, I started everything on AUTO. It was to/2/two/too heavy for my ballhead but it worked fine on the one I had ordered for it off ebay:
Double Handle Camera Tripod Head 360 Degree Hydraulic Damping Ball Head 02
Condition:New
Quantity:
0 available / 5 sold
Price:US $22.15

The quick plate is long so you can offset the weight of the camera and I leave it on in the Nikon Holster. The long handles help a lot. All good so far.
