Hope I'm not committing a forum indiscretion by posting this, but I instantly improved my personal UHH forum experience. I unsubscribed to "the attic" yesterday. Happy camper today.

The fact that we have to hide the attic from our casual guests says volumes about that particular forum filled with hate and vitriol.

Having been sucked into the attic for a while, I found it totally killed off the joy of UHH. Once I shut the trap door, I found the enjoyment came back and the site could make me smile again. 
Now, the only spiders I have to face here are macros. Much better.
