I have a problem. I bought the Nikon Z6, I was invited to a shoot and later at home I brought them up on the latest version of Lightroom. I tried to email the photos, but you can't email any photos on the latest version of Lightroom. I called Adobe and they seemed puzzled and after being put on hold they said it's a bug they have to work out. I went back to Lightroom and when to the previous version which I have sent photos using email. I forgot the last version cant process photos from the Nikon Z6. Any suggestions? I'm glad I didn't sell my 810.

Welcome to the hog!
From the Rules section:
" Try to use descriptive titles when creating new topics. Instead of something like "Please Help", (or "A question") write a title that briefly states the nature of your post. That way, people who know the answer or are interested in that particular topic would be more likely to click on it to read it and post replies."

I'm sure you'll get tons of answers....some good!

Open your email program. Attach the photo file to the email message. Send it that way.

That's my WAG

Copy any photos you want to email to a folder on your desktop. If there's a lot of photos I sometimes will downsize the photos in that folder so I don't reach the 25MB limit per email on gmail. Attach them to any email you want to send.

Hello, SRT,

It might help if you specified what operating system and version you are running (e.g., Windows 10).

The general answer is: your photos are stored as disk files somewhere under your user directory,
inside a directory named for the date the file was imported.. LR allows you to store photos wherever
you want and keeps a database with a record for each photo containing the pathname of the disk file.

Once you find the disk files, you should be able to mail them manually using whatever mail program
you normally use.

These links may help find the files:

Good luck!

Cannot e-mailing photo doesn't do anything with what camera to take the photo, and you don't need photo software like Light-Room to e-mail them. You simply connecting your camera to the computer through the USB port or plug in your memory card from your camera, then chick "open file to view" and then copy them to your photo file in your computer. After that , you should know what to do, you just need open what ever picture file that you want to send and add to your e-mail and send.

Lightroom 6 is happy processing jpeg files from your Z6. But it won’t take in Z6 .nef files.

You need to download the free Adobe dng converter. Then:

1. Create a destination folder in Lightroom.
2. Use Adobe dng converter to convert and place the dng files from your camera folder into the Lightroom folder created above.
3. Import the images in the Lightroom folder.

Then you can do whatever you want with the dng images in Lightroom.

Emailing has nothing to do with file type.

Depends on the file size. Many email providers limit total message size to 20Meg.

Export them in Lightroom as JPEG files using the Lightroom presets For Email in the Export dialogue box. I just did it in Lightroom Classic CC ver 8.1 without issue using Microsoft Outlook as the email client.

Export as jpeg, using LR export to set the size appropriate for an email (for example, 1200 X 1920 pixels).
Go to email and attach the jpegs to an email and send.

Right. I don't like an intermediary. I email directly from my email program.

Why not export them to your hard drive then attach to your email?

Save your JPEG product to a folder, open your email program and attach them from that folder. At first my Elements 14 wouldn’t share directly to email so I went the folder route, but now it does. SMH.

Did you make sure you set up your email client in your new LR version? I have to do that in Elements. I have two email accounts and can use either one directly from Elements when things are properly configured.
