Can anyone identify the make and year for either of these two cars?

The first looks like it has a Pontiac logo,
can't be sure of the logo on the second.

The first one is an early fifties Pontiac. Someone else will get the year and model, I’m sure. The second is a 1948 Chevrolet (likely a Stylemaster) sports coupe. I had one once.

I guessed 52.

The second is similar to my first car: 49 Plymouth. But mine was 4 door.

The first image is of an 1949 Pontiac. A similar design was also used for 1950 and 1951. My first car was a 1950 Pontiac with a straight eight engine, hydromatic transmission.

First one has Pontiac hood ornament, but I’ve never seen that grill on anything. Second one may be an early Buick, but just a wag.

Agree on the Pontiac 1949. Other looks like a 1941 Chevy coupe I had way back

Okay, Mr. H is correct on the '48 Chev Stylemaster coupe. The Pontiac is a '51 Chieftain that has been "customized". The "V" part of the grille and its extensions were originally chrome, but have here been painted yellow. The bumper is also incomplete, as it is missing it two upright guards. Here is a photo of the stock version.

Yup. The first is a Pontiac. The second is a COP car. Sorry, couldn’t contain myself. No idea actually on #2.

Second thoughts - first one may be a Canadian version of the Pontiac.

on the Pontiac... had a '53. the hood over the windshield made traffic lights impossible to see if you were not back at least 4 or 5 cars. they had a small prism instrument on the dash that showed what was right above and in front of the car. had to get used to it quickly.....

The hood was known as a Visor and the prism was called a Traffic Light Finder. Had both on my over accessorized 48 Stylemaster.

The 1st one is a Pontiac (early 50's) and the second is a Chevrolet (late 40's) editions.

The Pontiac looks like an early 1950s. Seeing the front and rear of a vehicle is very important in determining the year. Im guessing the Police Car is a 1941 Chevy?
