Experience with your Nikon 18-140 lens please.
I would like to hear experiences of those Photographer's using the Nikon 18-140 lens, which I just purchased a few weeks ago, although have not had opportunity to use it very much as yet. Only a few times now and mine seems to perform well. Thanks.

That lens is a very good lens, versatile, and sharp. Just be aware that you may experience slight vignetting wide open at wide apertures. It makes a very good all around lens and isn't too heavy.

Thanks for your reply, the few times I have had the opportunity to use it I have not noticed any vignetting, of course I was not looking for it either, and may not even noticed it, if it was very slight, not being immediately noticable to my untrained eye. Yes, so far I am pleased with my purchase of the Nikon 18-140 Lens.
Mine came as a kit lens with a D7200. I used it for several months and found it reasonably sharp with some CA and distortion. The CA and distortion are easily fixed in Lightroom. To be completely honest, I almost always ended up taking a longer zoom with me as 140mm, even on a DX body, didn't quite get me there. I ended up buying a Tamron 18-400mm f3.5-5.6, which has performed very well after tuning so my 18-140mm sits on the shelf.

I purchased one for my D5100. The kit lenses were fine (18-55mm and 55-300MM) although they were fine I found it necessary to change lenses way too often, so I purchase the 18-140mm. I love that lens and it is usually the one that's on my camera. It's an excellent all purpose lens. It doesn't quite replace my 18-55mm for times I want to travel light. It most certainly doesn't replace my 55-300mm lens for birding or wild animal shots, but it is a great general purpose lens. I love it!
Great lens. Bought one for my brother and he's yet to remove it. Bought a second for my girlfriend. Makes a fine walk around lens. Many here will laud this lens.

I like it a lot, easy and pleasure to use. VR works great, it is sharp, i use it on d5500. Makes it very light and capable travelling kit. Sometimes i think that's all i need.
I got mine on my D5600 as a back up camera and basically leave it mounted. It is light, clear, good quality for the price, and perfect for anything indoors. Can be a little short outdoors if needed.
I got one as a kit lens with a D7100. Best kit lens I have ever come across. I use it regularly and have no complaints with it. 140mm isn't much of a telephoto even used on a FX body. But that's what the 200mm to 500mm is for.
It is on my wife's D3300 almost permanently. It seems to be great for all her uses. She has an eye for composition that I do not. We are extremely happy with the performance. If we need farther reach, we us my D750 with a Tamaron 150-600 G2 (really heavy combo) on a monopod or tripod. All in all, it serves us without complaint.
I use mine on my D7200 pretty much all the time for indoor shooting. I personally find it some what limiting for a good bit of outdoor shooting.

I think you meant, "wide open at wide-angle focus?"
I really liked my 18-140 lense also. When I got my Nikon 18-300, it kinda replaced several lenses and is now my walk around lens. And now I am eyeing a 18-400 lense.
I like it for my walk around lens when I am doing events.

It may be helpful next time to ask your question BEFORE you purchase. Just sayin.
