For my Canon 6D I use a Canon SPEEDLITE 430 EX. It works very well for me.

If you want to save some money and still get the best, shop for a used version the 580EXII or the older version 580EX. For another option, consider the 430EX III, or the older v II, used. Here's are review https://kenrockwell.com/canon/flash/430ex-iii-rt.htm

A less expensive alternate is the Yongnuo group of flashes, including the Speedlite YN600EX-RT II. This is made to compete with the Canon Speedlite 600EX II-RT for far less.

Just received a Meike Speedlite MK320. Nice flash, but not as strong as my Canon580EXII, does the job for indoors and fill. Used it for an awards presentation for kids.
Mucho less $$. Might take a chance??

I always suggest new flash users get OEM flashes. Learning with a third party flash that was reverse engineered to be compatible can be very clunky. If something doesn't work, is it user error or is it poor understanding of incomprehensibly translated instructions?

I encourage the 430 or the 580EXII, can't go wrong with either.

Just another pitch for the 430, the 580 is nice but the 430 is quite capable. :-)

The 320 is good. It is compact and easy to carry. :-)
