Found this small Sweet Gum that was finally displaying its fall colors December 23, 2018 in Louisiana. Might have been a good candidate for focus stacking if I'd had my tripod. Alas!
Nice colors. I dont believe focus stacking is the problem. The leaves in the same plane are sharp. I believe its more of a depth of field problem. Perhaps a smaller aperature (larger f#) would have helped.
