I have used photoshop Elements10 since it came out, and
prefer it over their earlier versions. This is strictly my
opion.

Based on everyone's wonderful description of PSE 10 I just bought it from B&H Photo for $49.95. Now I guess I'll have to upgrade my MAC this fall so I'll have a computer that will be able to handle it.

I have been studying, learning and using those two programs for a year. I continue to be more amazed with each new technique, trick or tool.

Today I found an Adobe video lesson on a smooth path from Photoshop Elements to Lightroom 4 when (and if) I feel the need to upgrade. There is a second training video about how to send a photo from Lightroom to Photshop Elements when and if there is a specific tool or technique that might be better there. In other words, adding Lightroom to your tool box does not lay waste to any investment in PE.

Adobe makes impressive stuff.

Good stuff Bill. I had not seen these before and they would sure save UHH folks with questions a lot of time. Thanks!
This easy transisition and dual program use is also true for PhotoShop users - in fact PhotoShop has an even more seamless integration.

Photo Shop (CS) and Elements are just like two apples - just Photoshop is bigger - more to it -some times it is too much - more than you need. Elements is like the small apple all you realy need for now-
Oh and the Mac is a wonderful computer for Digital Editing

I have the Elements 10 and find it more than adequate. The CS5 --I find has more features than I need
There is certainly a big difference in price
Elements 10 here in Canada is around the $85 price and the new CS6 is in the $650 - $700 range
why not try the Elements and see if it does what you need before spending the big bucks for something that you may not need

Regarding aperture. I currently have I Photo on my Mac OS10.65 and wonder if Aperture is capable of editing RAW
