If anyone is wanting to sell or know someone who is selling a Portrait Lens to fit a Nikon D3300 DSLR Camera, please let me know. I do photography and videography for a living and this will help me out.

You have limited your options by acquiring a acamera body that does NOT have an on-board focus motor. None of the D3xxx or D5xxx bodies have this important feature. As a result, you are limited to AF-S lenses that are motorized. If you are serious about photography, get at least a body from the D7xxx series and you’ll be able to use high quality and well built glass that is reasonably priced. My recommendations include Nikkor AF 60mm f/2.8D; Nikkor AF 105mm f/2.8D; Nikkor AF-S 85mm f/1.8G.
As mentioned before me, the Nikon 3000 and 5000 series do not have the internal focus motor, as the 7000 series Nikon cameras have. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, I would suggest a Nikon AF-S 50mm f1.8 prime lens. On your crop sensor, that will give you a FOV of 75mm, which is slightly below the 85mm prime lens on a full frame DSLR. Which many say is the ultimate portrait lens. The 85mm f1.8 will be at a higher price though. And a better choice. Good luck.
50mm f1.8 AFS-G I payed 176 bucks on sale for mine last year from Adorama. Great lens for under 200 bucks.

I agree, that is what I got, the 50mm 1.8g lens on my Nikon D3300.
Thank you again. My 24.2 mp camera seems to do well on photos with all my lenses I use, but I had an offer from my daughters high school to do the photos for picture day and I don't have a portrait lens and I am just getting other ideas.
Thank you, I appreciate this feedback. It should help me now.
I personally would not consider the 50mm lens a portrait lens. I would suggest at least 80 and perhaps up to 100.
This answer was a big help, much appreciated.

Even with a crop sensor camera?
Jerry, I personally appreciate the research you do and the "Web Sites and informative articles" you provide to assist your fellow UHH members in their questions or concerns. Thank you.

I have an Nikkor 85/1.8 that I used once. PM me for details. However, I see that most are recommending a 50 mm lens...

The 50 is a short tele on the OP’s camera.
It would work, but personally, I think your 85 might be better for portraits.
One of my favorite prime lenses!
That being said, Sigma made an awesome 50-150 zoom for DX cameras.
I used it with the Fuji S5pro specifically for portraits.
KEH has a used one like I used
HERE for $494.
The newer version has VR but it's a beast.
