There's a classic car show in my local town tomorrow. I would appreciate any hints and tips. I know about using a CP to remove glare/reflections etc. and trying to get down low to improve the angles but as a novice what else should I keep in mind?
Thanks
Chris
I am a huge car guy.I like to get close and take a pic of something that people have to look twice to figure out what it is.Grills are my favorite subject. Some of the real old models ( 30's and 40's) have some great grills.
I hate it when the cars are parked to close to each other!!
Try and get there early enough before the judges have all the hoods raised... That always gripes the 'ell out of me... Also early enough before the crowds come in and - and they absolutly do it on purpose - walk right in front of you whey you try and take a pic....
Thats sad but true. When i was younger i always gave anyone taking pics a wide berth. Now a you said people try to get on your nerves.

How about people leaning all over cars that have those, "Please do not touch" signs?

Assuming they can read. :D
"Please Do Not Touch Car" can easily become "Place Donut in Car." :D
Bonnet emblems, unusual features, try and include front and side, and include any info available on the car if poss.

I would say get there early or late when folks are more willing to talk. I find early is better because they are fresh and ready to tell their story. Glare may be your worst enemy. CP might do the trick. We hosted a unjudged car/tractor show yesterday and my best pics of tractors and cars were in the shade or very late in the day. The posted pics have NO PP, straight from the camera, no filters. But yes the hood was up on the Desoto.
