Thanks Bob, Glad you approve. There are a number of videos on Youtube of similar shovels at work. I haven't been able to place exactly who the manufacturer of this one was. They are fun to watch.

Why thank you artBob. This old fellow is at one of my favorite sites, the Sloss Furnaces site which as a museum is open to the public to roam around with camera in hand. You can see the #2 blast furnace along with associated "blast ovens" in the background.
