All those who serve in the military far from home they still like to receive
printed photographs. This ad was for those who served during WWI
which was a hundred years ago.

The sentiment of the Kodak ad should be remembered not just during WWI, but anytime and anywhere our men and women are serving to protect national interests.

Jerry, Your right, however, is this a good thing?
I remember when I was in Alaska we would get prints and letters, and afterwards for a day or so that was all we would think about and talk about. Work and concentration suffered. Then "home" would move more to the background and everything would go smoothly. My question is, does today's instant comms work for or against the total concentration required in a combat zone? Or in any dangerous situation?

Instant gratification is not always what it is cracked up to be. Sometimes waiting for something makes it better IMHO!

Great piece of history. Looks like it was very skillfully hand-colored.

Totally interesting!
A letter is a tangible item. That makes it special I think and a lost art most times.
